About this site

AFSP Community Art and Creative Expression is a dedicated online gallery. The gallery is a place to enable systemic practitioners and collaborators to showcase their creative work — including visual art, poetry, prose, and audio recordings — while fostering a reflective and expressive community space within systemic practice.

It has grown out of meetings between systemic practitioners beginning in 2023 with the aim of sharing interests in working with the arts and creating works of art for the AFT conferences in 2023 and 2024. This year (2025), a Community of
Practice (COP) has been established, meeting usually on a day in the first week of the month.

Guidelines for the community of practice

The COP is for anyone wishing to develop their use of a wide range of creative
expression in systemic practice in order to facilitate communication in whatever
way is best for those they work with. Creativity takes many forms, and all are
welcome regardless of their relationship with art! The ethos of the group is one
of mutual appreciation and support, and members are free to share their
experiences, thoughts and activities as they wish.

There is no vetting of work that people want to share on the site, and the group is free to explore their reactions to the contributions as they wish. It is not necessary to attend meetings in order to contribute a piece to the site. It is connected with, but independent of AFSP, with the aim of supporting the development of creative and artful ways of thinking and being throughout the organisation, membership and beyond. By signing up, you'll get access to the full archive of everything that's been published before and everything that's still to come.

A website for systemic thinkers into creativity

This is a new space with many possibilities, so feedback and collaboration will
be invaluable as we explore and grow together……
